On April 12th, at the Ports O’Call Restaurant here, Los Angeles Consul General Mary Jo Bernardo Aragon was honored during a “Pinay Gathering,” in celebration of International Women’s History Month,” organized and hosted by cultural activist Linda Nietes. The latter celebrates her 24th year of service to the Filipino American community in promoting Philippine books in America.
