What Is Hydrojetting & What Are Its Benefits?

Hydrojetting is a new, and innovative, way for plumbing professionals to clean even the toughest clogged drains. It is performed by using a specialized machine that forces high pressured water into the drain. This will, typically, force the clog from the pipe and allow the drain to flow freely. There is no need for harsh, caustic, or corrosive chemicals that can damage the inner walls of the drain with hydrojetting. The only medium that a plumber uses is high pressured water.

Hydrojetting Grease

As many plumbing professionals can attest to, a clogged drain due to cooking grease being poured down the drain is a very common occurrence. Some people may think that the grease will make it through the drain system, but many times it solidifies before ever reaching the end of the drain. After time, this build up of grease can choke off the drain. Hydrojetting can be used to break the grease out of the drain pipe which will allow the drain to flow more freely. It is a safe, and effective, means of clearing this type of clog from a drain.

Hydrojetting Roots

Roots from shrubs, trees, and plants can wreak havoc on a drain system. Roots seek out water and a drain is the perfect place for them to derive it from. This often ends up in a clogged drain. Hydrojetting can be used to break up and dissipate the pieces of roots that are clogging the drain. A plumbing professional can typically eradicate the clog in a short amount of time with the high pressured water; the same liquid that the roots seek out becomes the medium by which it becomes dislodged.

Hydrojetting Debris

There are many times that debris may find its way into a drain system. Whether

it is food particles, sand, gravel, hair, or something else it can quickly plug up a drain and create standing water that will not drain. A plumber that is using hydrojetting can remove foreign matter from a drain in no time. The high pressured water will penetrate through the material; sweeping it away. The only thing that will be left is a clear drain that will allow the standing water to drain. Many homes, and businesses, have plumbers perform routine hydrojetting as a precautionary measure to ensure that their drains will remain free lowing and in good working order.
